in an attempt to counteract the effects of unreliable distributors, a general lack of physical space to house records, theiving-theifs, etc. and to also make room, mentally, for the many new releases, friends and relatives will be selling a few of our earlier albums (which are nearly out of print) at discounted prices for a short time. so, here's your chance to snatch em up, if you haven't already....

SHEP and ME: in addition to the "cloudy chowder" collection-cassette on friends and relatives, theres also a new CD-R available from shep entitled "a man, his van, and his dog." beet harvest ballads and seasonal songs recorded in andover MN and PGH. you can order it for $5.oo post-paid through: matthew himes, p.o.box 61001, PGH, PA 15212. also, a split LP with CAETHUA is in the works, to be released in mid 2008.

D.B.H.: "recently slipped through the northeastern states, leaving chemtrails and "suddel" deposits in the wake. the residual feeling afterwards, all around, resulted in pipe dreams of moving to a water(ed)-area with swollen lips, the dog and a rash. within that "slow choice time", we'll be scattered throughout, emerging in full-form here and there, whenever we feel like it. which is now, right now; currently we're travelling and touring through the southern and middle-centered states, not understanding what it means anymore than before - just becoming more comfortable within the naivety. and in april a short tour is planned through the midwest featuring daniel wick on percussion. 'see you when i see you'. documentation-wise: "green tape" (http://www.freewebs.com/greentape/) recently released a 2xTAPE (4 way split) featuring john thill, hand me down satellites, churchburners & DBH and then "eh?" records (by way of public eyesore in nebraska) put out a DBH cd-r entitled
"wave the old wave" in the past few months (listen to a portion of the title track at: http://wfmu.org/playlists/shows/25476). the future holds within it an actual really-real cd filled with 60+ minutes of recordings collected in the year 2007 through various line-ups, etc. (available through saxwand, friends and relatives, public eyesore, green tape & others - interested in helping release it? please write). coming into a physicalness within the mid-set portion of 2008. until then, you can download a recording of d.b.h.'s performance at this year's "Bloomington Improvised Arts Series" concert, for free, at: www.chrisrall.com/biasfest.htm and pretend like your "preparing".

JUSTIN C. RHODY: (music): laying on the bed, after being tossed around and losing the grip of a few hands, a split 7" with "uke of spaces corners county" will soon be basking/warping in the light through isle of man records in south carolina (www.myspace.com/369nn). a split 7" with andrew restrepo is currently in the works as well and will be available this spring through mailorder and in person on our west coast tour with “caethua", if the car lasts until then. a cassingle of spoken word poetry and solo trumpet will also be coming out on saxwand records soon (www.saxwand.com). (art): in the next few months some photographs will be on display at the waterfall arts center in belfast, maine as part of an art show benefitting their scholarship fund. and in bloomington, indiana at the sweet hickory gallery and store, a photo will be on display as part of their 2 year anniversary art show celebration. some found objects were also contributed to a "found"-themed group art show in
seattle at the dearborn gallery. steps toward a website, featuring photographic works, are slowly being made, paused on, abandoned and picked up again. maybe someday, but not today - or tomorrow.

CAETHUA: in the flurry of winter-bundling and hole-ing within carpeted corners, the output is trailed and trailing; amidst the LP now available through friends and relatives, a full length cassette ("queenly women, crowned and uncrowned") is available through "abandon ship records" (www.abandonshiprecords.com) and a future-found split LP with "shep and me" is coming through the mud and rinsing off, as we speak. possible tours may ensue: stay tuned.
